A Warm Welcome to the First Day of Fall

It's official, Summer has left us for another year. Yep -  in case you need further proof, there's even a new  Google Doodle to mark the Autumnal Equinox.

As your thoughts begin to shift to packing away summer gear and turning the furnace on, don't forget that a new season brings new possibilities! To help make your transition a bit more pleasant, we've got a few ideas to keep you active and having fun as the leaves begin to change.

Autumn would not be complete without a walk through a pumpkin patch. This family friendly activity will easily get everyone buzzing with seasonal excitement - and offers an opportunity for the perfect Instagram-worthy Fall photos. Click through for the best Pumpkin picking spots in the GTA.

Now  if pumpkin pies and Jack-o'-Lanterns just don't do it for you, consider a slightly more practical farm outing - Apple picking! Enjoy the crisp air, and a surprisingly good workout at these GTA Apple Farms.

And lastly, if you're serious about staying active and taking in all that the season has to offer, may we suggest a few of Toronto's scenic running trails. You will be tempted to stop and tweet about the stunning trees and picturesque wildlife  - don't say we didn't warn you. Just remember to tag us when you do.
